On 30 December 2021, the College Representative Council, Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) Session 2021/2022 in collaboration with the Management of Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College and Student Affairs Division, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has organized the KOSASS Flood Relief Volunteer Program - UPM Putra Cakna at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Mengkarak in Bera, Pahang. The program is led by Brother Suhairey Shah Bin Mashara as the Secretariat of Volunteers and Green Technology and assisted by the Secretariat of Funding and Welfare. A total of 44 volunteers were from KOSASS colleagues and were also joined by Prof. Prof. Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Principal of Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) and other KOSASS fellows.

The volunteer program started at 10.00 am when the volunteers arrived at SMK Mengkarak, Bera before the volunteers were taken to the school damage area for further inspection and to carry out the cleaning process. Volunteers were involved in cleaning classrooms, libraries, seminar rooms and managing leftover furniture and items that could not be used for disposal purposes. Apart from the cleaning work at the school, the Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) has also distributed aid packs to several affected families around the Pekan Mengkarak neighborhood. The volunteer program ended with a special donation in the form of basic items to the representatives of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Mengkarak.

Hopefully with this noble effort can help ease the burden of flood victims as the university's effort to echo the call of Al-Falah from the tower of knowledge and achieve one of the 5C's of Positive Youth Development which is Caring coincides with the slogan #PYD4KOSASS.
