SERDANG, UPM- Secretariat of Volunteering and Green Technology, College Representative Council (MPK), Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) Session 2023/2024 in collaboration with KOSASS Management held UPM@We Reach For You 4.0 Session 2 which was attended by 38 members KOSASS Youth Volunteering Club on Saturday, 4 May 2024. The program starts at 7.00 am and ends at 2.30 pm at Rumah Bakti Dato Harun, Ampang.
According to Norsyazreen Binti Erman who is the MPK of the Volunteering and Green Technology Secretariat, the purpose of this program is to expose volunteering activities to students so that they can participate in volunteering activities organized by certain welfare organizations in our country. Through this program, the students will be exposed to more about the volunteer activities that are often carried out by the organizations involved, namely MyCARE and HULUR Malaysia.
Sister Norsyazreen also stated that Rumah Bakti Dato' Harun was the chosen location for this program because she wanted to reveal the atmosphere of the children's homes to kosass collegiates and learn how they live their daily lives. This can also give rise to empathy and love between the collegiate and the people of Dato' Harun's home. Norsyazreen also hopes that by increasing the number of volunteer activities in the future, we can foster the spirit of volunteering in collegiates as well as give them the opportunity to participate and gain new experiences.
Finally, it is hoped that the collaboration between external NGOs and volunteer clubs in UPM can continue so that KOSASS collegiates are always exposed to volunteering activities in order to build personal well-being and have a positive impact on collegiates and the surrounding community.
