The KOSASS Recycling Day program organized by the KOSASS Youth Volunteering Club (KYVC), the Volunteer and Green Technology Secretariat, the College Representative Council (MPK), Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) Session 2022/2023 in collaboration with the KOSASS Management. This program with the concept of sustainability practices has been carried out regularly on Sundays every week throughout the 2022/2023 semester session.

In the first session of the 2022/2023 session, this program was held physically at the Kenyalang Gymnasium, KOSASS B while in the second session, the Hari Kitar Semula KOSASS was held at the Recycling Centre@KOSASS. The Recycling Centre@KOSASS is sponsored by the Coca Cola company with Professor Dr. Ahmad bin Ismail and Dr. Nurul Izza binti Ab. Ghani. Participation in the Hari Kitar Semula KOSASS is open to all KOSASS collegiates where they are encouraged to donate used items that can be recycled. The purpose of this program is to give exposure to KOSASS collegiates about the importance of recycling activities to the environment. In addition, this program can also educate KOSASS collegiates to be a disciplined person by not throwing away recycled goods like other industrial waste.

The recycling counter is open from 8am until 11am and two committee members from the KOSASS Youth Volunteering Club will be on duty every week. Among the used items that can be accepted for recycling are newspapers, paper, boxes, plastic bottles, aluminum cans and so on. Each collegiate who contributes recycled goods will be given college merit depending on the amount of goods given. Meanwhile, the AJK in charge is required to separate each item according to the categories of paper, plastic and aluminum. On 16 June 2023 (Friday) all the items collected were sent to Alam Flora, Putrajaya which is a recycling center for sale. The returns from the collected goods have been as much as RM84.50.

Overall, this program has received a very positive response not only from KOSASS collegiates but also from outsiders such as the Coca Cola company for donating to KOSASS which is a cabin for the collection of recycled goods called Recycling Centre@KOSASS. Efforts in fostering the spirit of sustainability among students were also successfully highlighted through this program. Hopefully this Hari Kitar Semula KOSASS program can continue in the future and hopefully the value of sustainability can continue to be nurtured and maintained among the students of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
