On 20th March 2021, the College Representative Council, Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) session 2020/2021 in collaboration with the Management of Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College has held water spinach sale KOSASS Green Market under KOSASS Gempur Tani Project program. The sales of KOSASS Green Market products were conducted around the college area and managed to sell 15 packets of water spinach.

 

KOSASS Gempur Tani Project is a program led by PKW Nur Nasuha binti Muhamad Noor Azam and has successfully sold the first product. This program is conducted to produce a trained and skilled group of students in the field of agriculture. In addition, this program is also conducted to produce progressive agri-entrepreneurs among colleagues.

 

Water spinach harvesting activity started as early as 7.30 am with a total workforce of eight people. The harvested water spinach then was put into large barrels for the cleaning process. After being cleaned, the water spinach was placed in a clean place before it was being weighed, packaged and sold at RM3 per package. The sales revenue is RM45.

 

 

As a result, the establishment of KOSASS Green Market provides an opportunity for committee members to gain agricultural knowledge, especially in the cultivation and sale of water spinach. Through sales and branding activities, it helps to promote KOSASS agricultural products to many parties either inside or outside UPM.
