UPM @ WE REACH FOR YOU 2.0 (UPM @ WRFY 2.0) is a volunteerism forum organised by the Secretariat of Volunteer and Green Technology, College Representative Council (MPK), Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) Session 2021/2022 with the cooperation of the Management of KOSASS, Student Affairs Division (BHEP), College Representative Council (MPK), Chancellor College (KC), Tun Dr Ismail College (KTDI), Pendeta Za'ba College (KPZ), Thirteenth College (K13), Student Volunteers Foundation (YSS), Persatuan Cinta Gaza Malaysia (PCGM) and Global Peace Mission Malaysia (GPMM). Realizing the success of UPM @ WE REACH FOR YOU in the past, the Secretariat of Volunteer and Green Technology, MPK KOSASS has decided to organise this programme again from 20th November to 4th December 2021. By continuing to maintain the same concept of programme which is volunteerism, UPM @ WRFY 2.0 had invited three great panels within human rights activists to share their experience and interact with participants through Q&A session.

The first session of UPM @ WRFY 2.0 was conducted on 20th November 2021, and it was officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Mursyid bin Arshad, the Principal of Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College. With the theme of Cahaya Sukarelawan: Mengukir Seribu Satu Senyuman, the first session attended by an invited panel from Student Volunteers Foundation (YSS), Encik Faisal Syafiq Azammuddin was like a stepping-stone for the audience to show their attention towards volunteer activities that were conducted in Malaysia.

On 27th November 2021, the second sharing session from humanitarian activists was successfully held in the presence of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Persatuan Cinta Gaza Malaysia (PCGM), Tuan Nadir Al-Nuri. He who served and devoted himself to the land of Gaza for almost 10 years, has captivated the audience through his experience as a volunteer, student, and founder of an organisation.

Before the UPM @ WRFY 2.0 came to an end, the third session attended by Encik Ahmad Fahmi Samsudin from Global Peace Mission Malaysia (GPMM) was held on 4th December 2021. With the theme Volunteerism: Untold Story of Unsung Heroes, this last sharing session has opened the audience’s eyes about the sacrifice of our volunteers who continue to devote their energy and time despite being in the Covid-19 pandemic that has not yet to meet its end.

Overall, UPM @ WE REACH FOR YOU 2.0 programme has received a positive response from the students of Universiti Putra Malaysia. Through this programme, the objective to build the spirit of volunteerism among students is also achieved. Hopefully, the UPM @ WE REACH FOR YOU programme can be continued in the future annually with more great and extraordinary organisations in order to raise awareness about volunteer activities among the students and public.
